Taapsee Pannu On Vikas Bahl's Clean Chit In #MeToo Case: "Girls Should Not Give Up And Tolerate Abuse"
Recently, filmmaker Vikas Bahl was given a clean chit in the #MeToo accusations leveled against him last year by an employee of Phantom. In fact, the filmmaker has been credited as the director of Super 30 in the latest poster.

In the wake of this development, several female celebrities like Tanushree Dutta (who began the #MeToo wave in Bollywood), Sona Mohapatra and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi lent their reactions on the news.

Now, Taapsee Pannu addressing the #MeToo wave has said to IANS, “Look, if the person who is accused of sexual harassment, doesn’t get punished, of course the spirit of the movement, the spirit of a woman who comes out with the story of abuse in public, gets shattered. However, that should not stop other girls from raising their voices if they are abused...because girls have stayed silent for ages.”

She further added, “We all can see how a collective consciousness has come into the picture since the #MeToo movement started. Nothing will change overnight, but we should not give up on the situation and tolerate abuse. Obstacles will come, but we should not give up. This is a transformative time and therefore it is difficult but if we do not continue, the change will not come in future."

For those not aware, Vikas was accused of sexual assault last year by a female employee of Phantom. Next, we saw Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap and Madhu Mantena announcing the dissolution of Phantom, in a bid to take steps against the filmmaker
