Mission Mangal actress Taapsee Pannu is basking in the success of her film. The actress has given many power-packed performances over the years and has achieved her place rightfully in the industry. Once called a ‘panauti’, Taapsee has been signing many films which are doing great at the box-office. About yesterday, Taapsee shared a picture from her childhood days penning a heartfelt post supporting #WhyTheGap cause.
Taapsee Pannu was nominated by co-star Akshay Kumar to promote the #WhyTheGap cause. Along with Taapsee, Akshay also nominated Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen, Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha. Akshay and wife Twinkle Khanna supporting the cause shared pictures from their childhood. Pannu sharing a picture from her school days penned a beautiful post supporting the cause. The actress’ post read, “Sports have been an integral part of my life. School race tracks became my war zone every year and thanks to a supportive family and encouraging school teachers I could have my moment of glory. Unfortunately, many kids don’t have that support system #WhyTheGap @stc_india.” In the picture, Taapsee looks adorable standing on a winner’s podium at the 1st place in her school uniform.
The #WhyTheGap cause the actors are promoting is initiated by Save The Children Foundation and improves the lives of children from child labour, abuse, exploitation, child marriage, violence, and trafficking. The cause helps unprivileged children from all over the country to have a chance at a normal education and a bright future. As Bollywood celebrities initiate a cause to make a difference, India is proving to have a brighter future.
