Tanuja Detected With Diverticulitis; Will Undergo Surgery Soon
Veteran actress Tanuja, who is also Kajol’s mother, was hospitalised on Tuesday evening at Lilavati. Now, the reports coming in suggest that the actress has been diagnosed with an abdominal condition and will be operated soon for it
A day back, Kajol’s rushed visit to Lilavati hospital alarmed many. Later, it was reported that the reason for her visit was mother, Tanuja’s ill-health. The veteran actress got hospitalised on Tuesday evening. And now, the reports suggest that Tanuja has been diagnosed with Diverticulitis.
Hospital sources told PTI, the actor will be operated for diverticulitis, a condition which results in the inflammation or infection of small pouches called diverticula that develop along the walls of the intestines.

The news about Tanuja’s ill-health came two days after Kajol’s father-in-law and Ajay Devgn’s father, Veeru Devgan’s death. The veteran action director succumbed to cardiac arrest on Monday morning. The funeral was held at Vile Parle West Crematorium on 27th May 2019. Bollywood biggies right from Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Karan Johar, paid their last respects to the stunt director. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan also wrote a heartfelt note for Ajay’s father, who has worked with him as a stuntman in his 1971 film Reshma Aur Shera.
Coming to Tanuja, well the actress who is known for her impeccable work in films like Jewel Thief, Haathi Mere Saathi, Do Chor among others, was hospitalised two years back as well. We wish the actress a speedy recovery.
