Tara Sutaria Opens Up About Losing Kabir Singh To Kiara Advani
With Kabir Singh already being a blockbuster by the end of its first week, Tara Sutaria opens up about losing the film to Kiara Advani
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh has been performing exceptionally well at the box office. The movie’s dream run at the box office has surpassed the collections of the biggest box office hits and according to trade analysts, the film is likely to enter Rs 200 crore club soon!
The chemistry between Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani is off the charts. Tara Sutaria was the original choice for the role of Preeti, but due to date issues, it couldn’t work out for the actress and Kiara was roped in. Now that Kabir Singh is doing wonders at the box office, actress Tara Sutaria opens up on whether she has any regrets about losing the film to Kiara Advani. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, she said “It's a remake of a hit film so it was bound to do well.”
The movie has also received some criticism on glorification of misogyny and when Tara was asked about the same, she said, “As a woman, a human being and an artiste, I know have a certain social responsibility, but as artistes we also have a certain artistic freedom and the right to express as we please. It's on the audience as to how they interpret that. Personally, I am a fan of both Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.”
Tara Sutaria is clearly a good sport and has no hard feelings whatsoever. She will next be seen in the film Marjaavaan, alongside Siddharth Malhotra. The actress will also star opposite Ahan Shetty in RX100.
