Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati will now be releasing in 3D. The news was confirmed by a source who further revealed that the makers will officially announce this on October 30
For all those who
have been eagerly awaiting Queen Padmavati to unleash her glorious avatar on
the big screens, here’s something that will leave you even more excited! It has
now been confirmed that Padmavati, starring Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be releasing in 3D. Whoa... Just the
thought of such a huge film releasing across theatres in 3D makes us impatient for the
film’s release.
Talking to
mid-day, a source confirmed, “The executives were excited after watching
the trailer. They told producers Viacom 18 that the film must be seen in 3D for
viewers to enjoy the filmmaker's vision. Bhansali was on board too.”

According to the source, the unit will announce the news with an extensive
marketing campaign on October 30. "Until then, everything is being kept
under wraps. Given that time is a constraint, ahead of the film's December 1
release, a team of Hollywood technicians are working on making it suitable for
a 3D outing, as the patchwork continues in Mumbai, simultaneously."
The trailer of Padmavati released a couple of weeks ago and the kind of response it got was beyond belief! Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini and Shahid Kapoor as Raja Rawal Ratan Singh have totally nailed their characters and HOW!
Padmavati is set to hit theatres on December 1, 2017.
