Bollywood celebrities Karan Johar and Kajol share an amazing friendship with each other. Whenever they get together, the fans have a blast listening to them gossip and pull each other’s legs. Having been childhood best friends, the duo has always set friendship goals on a whole new level. However, all was not well between the two as they had a falling out in 2016 due to a tweet by Kamaal R Khan.
It just so happened that in 2016, Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay released at the box office on the same day. Known for his controversial tweets, Kamaal R Khan, aka KRK, claimed that the filmmaker bribed him with Rs 25 lakh to trash Devgn's film. According to a report by Times Now, the Golmaal actor had retweeted KRK’s post before even consulting with his wife’s best friend. Miffed with such a tweet, even Kajol had re-shared it on her Twitter handle, which broke the filmmaker’s heart. Ajay had even called Karan and yelled at him for doing something like this. The head honcho of Dharma Productions had opened up about the entire ordeal in his book ‘An Unsuitable Boy’ in 2017. He poured his heart out about the fallout and how the ordeal affected him emotionally. He had gone on to share how Kajol’s reaction had broken his trust and every bit of emotion he had felt over their friendship for the past 25 years. He went on to say that he feels nothing for her as she did one of the most humiliating things to a person who loves her so deeply. The best friends, though, couldn’t stay angry at each other. Once Karan welcomed his twins Yash and Roohi, Kajol was one of the first to wish him well. While they did take their time to rekindle their friendship, today they are as strong as ever.
