WHAT! Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki Shoot HALTED By Karni Sena In Madhya Pradesh; Protestors Demand Bhedaghat To Be Purified By Gomutra- DEETS INSIDE
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie Pathaan came under the scrutiny of the public after the release of its song Besharam Rang. In the peppy track Deepika Padukone can be seen donning an orange bikini, a ‘sacred’ colour as per traditional beliefs. This has rubbed certain sections of the society the wrong way, which has led to protests, #BoycottPathaan trending on social media and politicians expressing their displeasure over the entire thing. Now, taking a step forward Karni Sena has disrupted Dunki’s shoot in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Yes you read that right! If reports by ETimes are to be believed, the protestors gathered in large numbers to halt the shoot of Rajkumar Hirani’s next film Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan at Bhedaghat near Jabalpur. The members of Karni Sena raised slogans and chanted Hanuman Chalisa for hours with saffron flags in their hands. While a heavy police force was deployed at the shoot location to control the situation, Karni Sena threatened the team of Dunki to stop the shoot within ten minutes. However, they didn’t pay any head to the warnings and continued to shoot the movie even after the stipulated time. The protestors even alleged that the shooting spot at Bhedaghat should be purified by cow urine (Gomutra). They went on to claim that shooting such movies near the banks of holy rivers like Narmada should be stopped.

According to Karni Sena, Pathaan makers have “saffron colour in indecent and objectionable way.” The group also held a similar protest in Lucknow against the movie that also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles.
