Twinkle Sharma Murder Case: Hansal Mehta And Ashoke Pandit Get Into A War Of Words On Twitter
Twinkle Sharma, a 2-year-old toddler was brutally murdered in Aligarh after her parents when they were unable to repay a loan of Rs 10,000. The incident shook the entire nation and #JusticeForTwinkleSharma was also on social media. Reacting to the heinous crime, many Bollywood celebs took to their social media handles to express their anger and disbelief. Amidst all this, filmmaker, Hansal Mehta got into a war of words with Ashoke Pandit on Twitter.

Hansal Mehta wrote on his Twitter, "If you feel so strongly and if you are genuinely concerned please do your thing. Stop using a child's condemnable and heinous murder to draw attention to yourself. Stop using this tragedy to further your 'us' and 'them' agenda. Stop misusing this forum for your whataboutery."


To which Ashoke Pandit replied, "I am not drawing attention to myself but questioning those attention seekers who used Asifa’s brutal murder to create an atmosphere of fear so that they can prove their point of blaming the current regime of being intolerant.  We will continue to expose these forces."

Hansal Mehta said, "Dear Ashokeji,  I condemn the heinous act in no uncertain terms. The rapist MUST be punished in the severest manner by the law of our country. I request you to also stop this name- calling, insinuation and unnecessary provocation. It is uncalled for especially at such times."


Meanwhile, Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna, Anupam Kher, Abhishek Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana among others took to social media to mourn and condemn the brutal murder of Twinkle Sharma.
