India is facing the worst wave of Coronavirus pandemic, and getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is extremely important. When the rollout of COVID-19 vaccine first began in India, frontline workers, senior citizens were given priority to get the vaccine. Later, in phase 2, all those above 45 years of age were permitted to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Now, from May 1, COVID-19 vaccinations will be open to all those above 18 years of age. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has shared a post urging all those eligible to register for the vaccine.
People in the age group of 18- 45 years are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination from May 1; however, it is mandatory for them to register online on the Co-Win platform and schedule an appointment to get vaccinated. As of now, walk-ins aren’t permissible. The registrations begin from April 28, and Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram story to share the process of registering on the Co-Win portal, and scheduling an appointment at a nearby vaccination centre. Sharing the picture, Varun Dhawan wrote, “This is important, let’s do this.’
Meanwhile, when the government had announced that the COVID-19 vaccinations will be open to all above 18 from May 1, many Bollywood celebrities such as Malaika Arora, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ananya Panday, and others had hailed the decision.
On the work front, Varun Dhawan was last seen in his father David Dhawan’s Coolie No 1, opposite Sara Ali Khan.
