Vashu Bhagnani plans to put Sarbjit in the Oscars race

Aishwarya Rai’s Sarbjit may have not earned rich dividends at the box-office but the film’s producer Vashu Bhagnani has grand plans for it.
SpotboyE.com has it that the producer intends to send the Omung Kumar-directed film as one of the contenders for India’s entry to the Oscars.
Bhagnani confirmed the story. In a chat with SpotboyE.com this afternoon, he said, “We will send it as an entry, independently or in the race with other films. We will channelise our energy to make sure Sarbjit is in the race to become India’s entry to the Oscar this year.”
Added the Sarbjit producer, “We will also enrol the film as one of the competitors in the bid for National Awards.”
