Interestingly, Veere Di Wedding’s trailer comes days
before Sonam ties the knot with Anand Ahuja. After much back & forth, the actress’ wedding is finally happening in Aamchi Mumbai on May 7
and 8. Destinations like Geneva, Montreux were earlier in speculations.

Veere Di Wedding has been making the right noises ever
since it went on floors. While Kareena’s return to the silver screen post her
son, Taimur’s, arrival was enough reason for fans to await the film, behind the
scenes madness has only added to the curiosity.
Talking about her role in the film, Kareena had earlier
said in an interview to Mid-day, “I’m possessive about my friends and this film
reflects that side of me. It’s the story of four girls who attend my wedding
and all the dhamaal that it involves. It showcases women and their emotions.
It’s the right time to do this kind of film.”

The film, directed by Khoobsurat director Shashanka
Ghosh, also marks Sonam and Rhea’s first film collaboration.
Veere Di Wedding is all set to hit theatres on June
1.
