Vidhu Vinod Chopra In No Mood To Speak On Rajkumar Hirani #MeToo Allegations
Vidhu Vinod Chopra dodged all questions on his business partner Raju Hirani #MeToo allegations at the Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga PC
The #MeToo wave refuses to die down and one of the recent names to have emerged in this happens to be that of reputed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, who has given us some of the best family entertainers. It indeed came as a huge shock to one and all, when his name cropped up in a #MeToo case. One of his assistant directors who worked with him on Sanju, alleged that he (Hirani) sexually assaulted her for a period of 6 months.
Post these allegations, Hirani’s name were dropped from the film credits of Ek Ladki Ki Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. His good-friend and co-producer on the project, Vidhu Vinod Chopra was recently quizzed about these #MeToo allegations at the press conference of the movie. Surprisingly, he chose to dodge the question and stated that they have gathered at the event for another purpose and that he would address the issue at the right time. Oh okay, that says a lot, doesn’t it?

Speaking of Rajkumar Hirani, the man has outright denied the allegations as he released an official statement that read as, “I was completely shocked when these allegations were brought to my notice about two months back. I had suggested immediately that it is essential to take this matter to any committee or any legal body. The complainant has chosen to go to the media instead. I want to very strongly state that this is a false malicious and mischievous story being spread with the sole intention of destroying my reputation.”
