Bollywood actor Vidya Balan is loved and adored for her elegance and grace. The simplicity in her outfit styling is commendable. The actress has a fondness towards Indian wear, particularly sarees. And she manages to slay it! Whether she is dressed in a western outfit or a traditional saree, Vidya exudes grace in anything she wears. However, one actress did not fancy Balan’s sartorial choices much. In an interview, the Sherni actress reminisced about an incident when another female actor advised her on her fashion choices.
Speaking with Siddharth Kannan, Vidya Balan opened up about when an actress critiqued her clothes and sartorial choices. The Tumhari Sulu actress recalled how she was stunned at the unsolicited advice given to her. She shared that she thought the actress should think about sharpening her acting skills rather than critique others fashion choices. Vidya said, “One actress I remember told me something about my dressing sense. I wanted to turn around and tell her, ‘First, why don’t you focus on your acting?’”
The actress was then asked if she said anything to the female actor in response. Vidya denied and said no. She said, “Jab unhone mujhse yeh kaha (When she said this to me), I was so stunned that she had the gall to say something like that to me, because it’s none of her business, that I came out feeling like ‘what just happened’.” “And then I thought to myself, ‘Kapdo ke baare mein baat karna bohot aasaan hai, actor agar ho toh thodi si acting bhi kar lo (It is easy to talk about clothes, but if you are an actor, then at least act a little),’” Balan added.
