Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel is currently over the moon, celebrating the success of Gadar 2 as it has broken all the box-office records in India. The Sunny Deol and Utkarsh Sharma starrer has become the fattest movie to reach the Rs 500 crore club in India. A sequel to the 2001 ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,’ the movie is being loved by the audiences. Amidst all the success, an old interview of the actress’ ex-boyfriend filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has resurfaced.
The old interview came to light after Ameesha opened up about her failed relationship with Bhatt and how it negatively affected her career in many ways. Soon after publishing her interview, a media publication also shared the filmmaker’s old interview where he claimed about them facing a difficult time professionally together. He had revealed that he and the actress saw many bad times together and when they finally had good times, they weren’t together. The 54-year-old had disclosed that during that time not only did he face a string of flops but even she was struggling in her acting career. He expressed how they broke off their relationship before his movie 1920 was released, after which he gave many other hit movies. He claimed that he had seen her struggle. Sharing how they have seen experienced a downfall, he understands the pain of “an actress who is losing her ground.” ALSO READ: WHAT! Quoted by ABP News, Vikram added, “The girl who came with 'Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai', 'Gadar' and 'Hum Raaz', she arrived at the top. But then she saw other girls taking her over. I also saw other directors coming and overtaking me. So, we both went through difficult times. ”
Talking about Gadar 2, it is a sequel to the blockbuster hit Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001). A partition drama that follows the journey of Tara Singh who falls in love with a Pakistani Muslim girl Sakina. After they get married and have a kid, Sakina is forced to go to her country by her father, leaving her family behind. The father-son duo then go to Pakistan to rescue her. The sequel focuses more on the father-son relationship between Sunny and Utkarsh Sharma. Released on August 11th, 2023, the movie is directed and produced by Anil Sharma.
