Vivek Agnihotri Strongly Disagrees With Anurag Kashyap's 'Kantara And Pushpa Are Ruining The Industry’ Statement; Calls Him, 'Bollywood's One And Only Milord'
Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is known to express his unabashed views through social media. He is often seen sharing his views on the happenings around the film industry. The recent director to come under his scrutiny is none other than Anurag Kashyap. The filmmaker recently found himself in a soup when he opened up about why Bollywood films are failing.

Well, it looks like The Kashmir Files’ director disagrees with him! Taking to Twitter, Vivek called Anurag ‘Bollywood’s one & only Milord’. Sharing a screenshot of one of the articles that had misquoted the Gangs Of Wassepur director, he wrote, “I totally totally totally disagree with the views of Bollywood’s one & only Milord. Do you agree?” ALSO READ: SHOCKING! Vivek Agnihotri Announces ‘The Kashmir Files: Unreported’ After Israeli Filmmaker Calls It A Vulgar Film; Says, ‘Isi Saal Ke Andar Andar Leke Aunga’

While many fans supported Vivek’s views, some came out in support of Anurag. One fan wrote, “First see the interview ..he is misquoted here actually.”

For the unversed, Anurag was a part of the Mega Roundtable 2022 hosted by Galatta Plus. Talking to the host, he expressed how filmmakers emulating superhit movies like Kantara, Pushpa, KGF 2 and Sairat, rather than working on original content are destroying Bollywood. He said, “Films like Kantara and Pushpa give you courage to go out and tell your stories. But KGF 2, however big the success, when you try and emulate that and set a project up, that’s when you start heading towards disaster. That’s the bandwagon that Bollywood destroyed itself on. You have to find films that give you courage.”

He further shared that Nagraj Manjule’s Sairat destroyed Marathi cinema. He said, “I was talking to Nagraj and I told him Sairat destroyed Marathi cinema; the success of Sairat. Because suddenly people realised there is a possibility to make so much money so they stopped making those films (which they were making earlier). Everybody wanted to emulate Sairat.” ALSO READ: Anurag Kashyap Talks About Going Through Depression, Heart Attack And Rehabilitation, Reveals, 'My Daughter Started Getting Rape Threats'
