Vivek Agnihotri Targets Anurag Kashyap AGAIN As Filmmaker Shares PM Modi Should Have Schooled His Party Workers Years Ago
Bollywood filmmakers Vivek Agnihotri and Anurag Kashyap have often engaged in a war of words on social media. The former has yet again taken an indirect dig at Kashyap for his recent interview. During a recent media interaction, he had opened up about Prime Minister Narendra Modi schooling his party workers for focusing on irrelevant issues like movies. He stressed on the fact that he should have schooled the BJP’s workers years ago.

Sharing a snippet of the article, Vivek took to social media and shared his reaction. Taking to Twitter, The Kashmir Files director wrote, “Audience is ‘mob’ now? Wow! Wow! Wow!” Netizens were left shocked, as Agnihotri yet again twisted Anurag’s words. One of his followers, pointed out, “PM stopped Ministers from issuing statements. He wasn’t trying to suggest anything else — rightly so — films are between the Filmmaker’s, Censors and the Public. Baqee Public PM CM Hero Zero sab banatee hai. Your court of appeal lies with them.” ALSO READ: Anurag Kashyap Takes A DIG At Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files; Says, ‘Aap Ki Filmon Ki Research Aisi Hi Hoti Hai’

For the unversed, PM Modi had suggested on the second day of the BJP’s national executive meeting that passing unnecessary comments on irrelevant issues like movies had put the party’s development agenda on hold. Commenting on the same, Anurag has said, “If he had said this four years ago, it would have made a difference. Now, I don’t think it’ll make a difference. It was about controlling their own people. Things have gone out of hand now. I don’t think anybody will listen to anyone. When you stay silent, you empower prejudice and you empower hatred. It has now got so much empowered that it is a power in itself. The mob is out of control now.”

Earlier, Agnihotri and Kashyap were involved in another social media spat where the former, without reading the latter’s entire interview had disagreed with his view of Bollywood filmmakers wanting to emulate superhit movies like Kantara, Pushpa, KGF 2 and Sairat, rather than working on original content and how that is ruining the Hindi film industry.
