Vivek Oberoi Election Meme Controversy: Netizens Urge Abhishek Bachchan To Stand Up For Aishwarya Rai
Vivek Oberoi has done it again. The actor, whose film PM Narendra Modi is releasing on May 24, has landed in trouble, courtesy his tweet on ex-girlfriend, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. After Vivek shared the meme, in no time, he started receiving a lot of backlash, not only from social media users but from many industry celebrities too. Among them were Sonam Kapoor, Madhur Bhandarkar, Urmila Matondkar who made their disappointment evident. Next, the National Commission for Women sent a notice to the actor for his derogatory comment involving a woman and a child.

In fact, Salman Khan, who was also part of that meme, gave his reaction while talking to a section of media. However, Aishwarya Rai on whom the meme was made and Abhishek Bachchan who was also part of it, have yet not reacted on the whole matter and this has disappointed many netziens, who are now urging Abhishek to come in support of his wife, Aishwarya. Abhishek shared his last post on May 20th morning which was a motivational Monday post. But Twitteratis are telling him stop motivating others and take a stand for wife Aishwarya, instead. Here are few tweets for you:

Well, let's see if Abhishek does say anything on the matter. Coming back to what Salman said at a promotional event for Bharat, well, Khan was clear in not getting involved in this controversy at all. He said, "Main dhyan hi nahi deta. Pehle jaisa tweet hi nahi karta, toh memes kya dekhunga. Main kaam karoon ya comments dekhoon. Main bilkul dhyan nahi deta (I don’t bother about tweets anymore. I don’t tweet anymore the way I used to, so how can I see memes? Should I concentrate on work or should I check memes?)”
