Bollywood actress Kajol is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Salaam Venky’ and she is currently busy promoting the same. In a recent interview, Kajol opened up about teaming up with her actor husband Ajay Devgn for a comedy film and stated she feels he is not very funny in real life despite delivering blockbuster comedy films. The actress also spoke about her equation with Aamir Khan.
Speaking with Pinkvilla, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai hai actress was quoted as saying, “Gopal (Ajay’s character from Golmaal) se puchna padega.” She then said, “If we do work together it should have to be on something which is deserving of both of us. Aur agar comedy ayegi toh ek teesre se ayegi, hum dono toh kabhi ek dusre ke liye aise sochenge nahi. I don’t think he is very funny like that. Talking about Aamir, she showered heaps of praise on him and said her equation with him is always good and that she really respects him as an actor. Interestingly, the PK actor has a small cameo in Kajol’s film Salaam Venky, directed by Revathi. “There is no particular thing you are looking for in a Aamir Khan film, besides the fact that it is going to be a good film. He works very hard to just make a good film and I really respect that about him and he is absolutely fantastic in Salaam Venky,” Kajol added.
Salaam Venky revolves around a true story of a mother and her son, Venky, who suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The film is slated to hit the theatres on 9 December 2022.
