Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan performed with supermodel Gigi Hadid on the second day of Nita Mukesh and Ambani Cultural Centre. The actor made netizens wonder if he made Gigi uncomfortable by pulling her up on stage and spinning her around in his arms before sending her off with a kiss. Soon after the video hit online, several netizens trolled Varun saying he made Gigi Hadid ‘uncomfortable.’ Now the American model has broken her silence on the same.
Taking to her Instagram handle, she posted the same video which was originally dropped by designer Prabal Gurung and wrote in the caption, “Varun Dhawan making my Bollywood dreams come true.” Looks like all is indeed well between the two..” Even the Badlapur actor clarified that it was all pre-planned. While replying to a user who called their act ‘disgusting’, Varun said in a tweet, “I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things. The hateful tweet read, “If you are a woman, you are not safe anywhere with anyone. Even if you are Gigi Hadid, invited to a party with an 'elite' crowd, guys like Varun dhawan will randomly pick you up and kiss you without your consent, all in the name of fUn. Disgusting (sic).”
Also, a video of Varun dancing with Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh on the Pathaan song is doing rounds on social media. On Friday, Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), situated within the Jio World Centre Complex in Mumbai, was inaugurated and the fashion showcase was launched on the second day of the opening gala on Saturday. The event was attended by many renowned Bollywood celebrities including King Shah Rukh Khan.
