Bollywood filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma enjoys a huge fan base. Having made a mark in the industry with movies like Satya, Bhoot, Sarkar and many more, he is one of the most credible director-producers in the Hindi film industry. While netizens often go gaga over his works, for the last few years he has been making the headlines for his controversial statements and questionable actions. 

It was in December last year, when he had left the internet utterly disgusted by kissing and licking actress Ashu Reddy’s feet during a promotional video for his movie Dangerous. The video instantly went viral on social media, as RGV could be seen sitting on the floor while Reddy, who was interviewing him, sat on the sofa. He goes on to explain that he wants to show his audience how they should treat women. With the actress’ permission, he starts kissing her feet and sucks on her toes. It is safe to say that this didn’t go down well with the netizens, who brutally trolled him. They termed him as disgusting. One even wrote on Twitter, “Ramu what a fall man... you were not this... Responding to all the harsh criticism by the faceless trolls, he had taken to Twitter and shared a meme of a dog saying ‘RGV learn from me.’ He had captioned the photo, “The DANGEROUS emotion I felt when sitting at the feet of #AshuReddy is what I learnt from ⁦
@_apsara_rani‘s DOG.”

Talking about the movie, it was released on December 9, 2022. Dangerous starred Apsara Rani and Naina Ganguly as a couple and their fight against the society to lead a happy married life. The movie was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
