Dixit’s roaring romance in the 90s were all over film magazines. Their
relationship ended in on a bad note, as news of Dutt’s involvement in the TADA
case sent shockwaves through Bollywood. The year was 1993, when Madhuri dumped
Nargis’ son like a hot potato following his arrest under TADA and the Arms Act
for his role in Mumbai serial blasts.

The former lovers’ first film together was Khatron Ke
Khiladi in 1988. Their next film was Saajan, which released in 1991 and was a
blockbuster. They later went on to act together in Khalnayak (1993), Jai Devaa
(1993) and Mahaanta (1997).

But now, fate seems to have almost brought them together,
after 21 years, for the same film – Karan Johar’s Shiddat, which was
earlier supposed to be done by Sridevi (who is unfortunately no more).

The two actors will now be worth a Nobel Prize if they go
through a gamut of emotions without keeping their egos aside and mending
fences.

The captain of the ship – Abhishek Varman – has a tough
task but knowing to the history of professionalism of the two senior actors, it
might not be impossible.
