Will Janhvi Kapoor And Kartik Aaryan Romance The Same "Suitable Boy" In Karan Johar's Dostana 2?
You’re in for a surprise if you thought Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor will be paired opposite each other in Dostana 2. According to reports there could be a new twist to the story!
There has been an air of excitement ever since the announcement of Dostana 2 was made which would star Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor. The pairing was supposed to be fresh and new but if the rumors are true, the actors won’t be paired opposite each other but will play the role of siblings in the movie.
According to Pinkvilla, this could be a new brother-sister pairing that is being introduced to by KJo and both of them could have the same love interest in the movie, whose role will be portrayed by a newcomer and who will be the third lead in the movie. A source close to the film told Pinkvilla, "Kartik and Janhvi are not paired opposite each other in Dostana 2. In fact, they are playing siblings in the film. This is a new brother-sister pairing that KJo is introducing with the movie. The reason why they called the third lead 'a suitable boy' is because both Janhvi and Kartik have the same love interest, to be essayed by this newcomer that Dharma plans to launch with the sequel."
When the story was narrated to Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor, they both readily okayed it. "Kartik okayed it at one go. Janhvi also stood by the subject because she feels these films will ease out and normalise homosexuality."
The movie is a sequel to the hit film Dostana which starred Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham along with Priyanka Chopra. The story revolved around two male friends pretending to be gay but were in love with the same woman. Dostana 2 will be Collin D’Cunha’s first directorial venture.
