You can see Rahul Khanna nude on The Americans’ DVDs
The steamy bedroom scenes were not telecast in India, but the show’s uncensored DVDs are readily available
The eminently likeable Rahul Khanna has become hot on The Americans TV series with his portrayal of Yousuf Rana, who is involved in the Cold War between Russia and the US during the 1980s.
So far, so yippee. The twist in the plot is that the 43-year-old Rahul shocked Indian viewers of the series, which is accessible on DVDs. How come? Because the usually shy bachelor son of the veteran Vinod Khanna, actually ventured into doing a graphic bedroom scene – in the nude!
The scene is daring, showing Rahul in the flesh, which leaves nothing to the imagination and is the kind, which has perhaps never been attempted by any Bollywood actor.
The scene shows Rahul making love, in the buff, with a Mata Hari-style blonde, whom he strangles to death. Now that’s quite a change of image for Rahul who was extremely fussy about his roles and stage appearances, at home, going to the extent of including a no-smoking clause in his contracts.
Extremely well turned-out in bespoke suits in the series, and camera-friendly as ever, the nude scene for The Americans, however, is quite a jaw-dropper coming as it does from Rahul Khanna.
He couldn’t quite make the A-grade in Bollywood because of his punctilious manners but overseas, he seems to have shed his inhibitions. Cheers!
