BEST DRESSED & WORST DRESSED At Femina Beauty Awards 2017: Jacqueline, Vaani, Shilpa, Swara Or Shahid?
Last night these beauties and the handsome hunk-Shahid walked down the red carpet at the beauty awards. Who pulled off the look of the night with ease and who looked distressed? Let’s find out...
Red carpets are always stressful. The pressure of carrying yourself with confidence, wearing the most correct outfit complimenting your body, not committing the grave mistake of repeating an outfit or ending up wearing a similar outfit to someone else is just UNIMAGINABLE.
Here are a few of our B-Town celebs who graced the red carpet of a beauty awards, held last night.
The Best Dressed of the lot was definitely the lady who won the title- Natural Beauty Of The Year, Jacqueline Fernandez.
Dressed in a beautiful off-white London based label, Hasan Hejazi, Jacqueline looked killer. She left her hair open and put on a maroon lipstick in contrast to the white. She carried a gold clutch as well to accessorize her look. Although Jacqueline is capable of looking a lot sexier than that but for the night the look was apt.
Man of the moment- Shahid Kapoor looked dapper in that quirky kurta pant combo. The flapped neck gives an edge to the outfit. Shahid carried off the look with much confidence.
Next on the list is Vaani Kapoor, who in my opinion has been looking slightly better than her Befikre days. She wore a black mermaid fit tuxedo style strapless Alexis Mabille gown and accessorized her neck with a yellow stone necklace. Vaani looked just about ok. The gown and the jewellery are average because of which Vaani fails to stand out. Probably a better lip colour, Vaani?
Shilpa Shetty posed with her sister Shamita on the red carpet. Shilpa’s fans might not like it, but for a change I found Shamita looking hotter! Shilpa’s choice of gown by Yolan Chris is not bad, in fact, it looks pretty regal but somehow Shamita’s fitted outfit and the nude look wins the extra brownie point.
Diana Penty also looked pleasant in her grey metallic Cinderella gown. She tied her hair in a simple pony and added a hint of colour with those shocking pink lips.
Surveen Chawala wore a floral tube gown by Samant Chauhan. She carried the look well but the only hitch here is that Kriti Kharbanda wore the same gown at the Stardust Awards 2016.
And now, here’s the list of those who just couldn’t get their style quotient RIGHT at the event.
Tanisha Mukerji is topping the list of Worst Dressed celebs at the event. She made an absolutely wrong choice of colour and gown. The make-up was horrible and the cut near her belly- well, no words!
Next on the list is Swara Bhaskar. May be she should just stick to fabrics and cuts which compliment her body type. The satin and the colour don’t go well. She has wide shoulders, so an off-shoulder neck should be avoided. Sawara has a broad face cut too; she should definitely avoid such hair-dos and may be keep her tresses open.
Lastly, Roshni Chopra attended the event flaunting her desi side. While I have no problem with that choice, my only worry is the fusion she experimented with a very traditional silk saree. The colour is beautiful and so is the drape but only if she teamed it up with a traditional blouse and not the boat neck royal blue raw silk blouse, her look would have been completely different. The choice of jewellery is not apt too.
