WHAT’S HOTTER: Sonam’s Experimental Blue OR Deepika’s Safe Black?

Sometimes it’s a BIG question whether to opt for the safe or try the experimental route! I found Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone at one such juncture where the former chose to experiment with her wardrobe and the latter opted for a safer bet. But whose path did I like? Let’s find out.

Deepika Padukone is back in Mumbai. The diva was spotted at Mumbai airport wearing an all black outfit, as she returned from the USA after completing the promotions of xXx: Return Of Xander Cage.
On the other hand, Sonam Kapoor was spotted at Vikas Bahl’s bash wearing a denim saree. Sonam completed the look with messy bun and entangled ear loops!

Between the two of them, my vote goes to Sonam Kapoor. At first glance, Deepika looks hotter than Sonam but if I tell you the story behind Sonam’s outfit, you would also agree with my choice.
Sonam’s ensemble looks like a denim separate but interestingly, it is a pair of old jeans converted into a denim saree by Masaba.

While Sonam Kapoor looked smart in that outfit and the drape from one side looked beautiful, maybe she could have opted for different footwear to get a 10 on 10. But for her superb experiment and the confidence to carry off something as unconventional as this, Sonam wins hands down!
Now coming to Deepika, well, she wore satin pants and teamed it up with a high-low wrap around satin shirt. Right from her ombre tone hair to her black stilettos, everything was up to the mark!
However, there have been times when Deepika has gone wrong with the ‘safe’ black as well. Following are such instances where I thought the colour ‘black’ also couldn’t save the fashionista:
