Numerous celebrities, such as Paris Hilton, Justin Timberlake and many more, have come out in support of Britney Spears as she battles it out for conservatorship against her father Jamie Spears. This news has been in the media since November 2020 as the artiste and wealth management firm Bessemer Trust Company that came into the picture asked for the removal of her father from the conservatorship. Now joining the bandwagon of celebs supporting Britney is Madonna, who showed her support in her latest social media post.
The Like a Virgin singer taking to her Instagram stories shared a throwback picture where she sported Britney's shirt and penned a note expressing her opinion on what she feels about the ongoing battle for conservatorship. She also urged the lawmakers to give the artiste her rights back, further urging them to put an end to the vicious circle of greed that women have been facing. She wrote, “Give this woman her life back. Slavery was abolished so long ago! Death to the greedy patriarchy that has been doing this to women for centuries.”
Further stating this treatment given to the singer being a violation of human rights, Madonna wrote, “This is a violation of human rights! Britney we coming to get you out of jail!” Here is Madonna’s Instagram story below:
