Famous Hollywood producer Robert Evans passes away at 89 in Beverly Hills, California. According to a report in CNN, Monique Evans, the publicist of Robert Evans confirmed the news about his death on Monday. He was a popular Hollywood film producer and studio executive and carved his niche in Hollywood with his famous hit films. In 1956, Evans has a huge clothing business and later decided to go film producing in the year 1962 using all his wealth from his business into films.

Born on June 29, 1930, to a Dentist and his wife in New York City, Evans was married seven times and has a son named Josh Evans. The producer was known for his best work on films Rosemary’s Baby, Love Story, The Godfather, and Chinatown. Robert Evans served as production chief at Paramount pictures for a brief span of eight years. In the 1960s and 1970s, as studio head in Paramount pictures, the producer helped to save the company by bringing such projects as Chinatown, The Godfather, and Rosemary's Baby to the big screen. In his 1994 memoir ‘The Kid Stays in The Picture’, Robert Evans documented his Hollwyood journey in it and also wrote about how Hemingway and the attempt of the cast to throw him away from the picture which led to the title of his memoir. Evans also disclosed to New York Times about how he felt he was a bad executive partially because of he would get very involved with just a few of his films and let a lot of other things pass by. In 1980, Robert Evans’ career and life took a dip after he was proven guilty for cocaine trafficking. Post that, for the next 12 years, Robert only produced two films ‘The Cotton Club’ and a sequel of Chinatown ‘The Two Jakes’ which were both financial flops. Later in 1993, the producer started producing films on a regular basis with a diverse track record of flop such as 1995 film Jade and his 2003 final hit film How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
