For the past few days, many Hollywood celebrities have been tweeting in support of Farmers’ Protest who are protesting against 3 three new farm laws introduced by the government. Recently, pop star Rihanna had tweeted while standing in solidarity with farmers. After many other celebs, now Oscar-winning star Susan Sarandon too has voiced her support towards the Indian farmers. Susan has starred in films like Stepmom and Thelma and Louise.

Taking to her Twitter, Hollywood’s veteran actor Susan Sarandon shared a news link and tweeted, “Standing in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India. Read about who they are and why they’re protesting below.” Recently, Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor and Suniel Shetty had Tweeted about the ongoing farmers’ protest with the hashtag ‘India against propaganda’.

Apart from that during her exclusive chat with SpotboyE, Swara Bhasker reacted to Rihanna’s Tweet and said, “First need to address the issue of what is an internal issue? Is injustice in any part of the world an internal issue? Because if it is, then we should not discuss anything except what happens within the boundaries of our own countries, states, cities and mohallas. we can't be that self-centred. When George Floyd was murdered and the black-lives-matter movement happened, our celebrities were regularly tweeting on it.”


Meanwhile, Farmers have announced Chakka Jam today for 3 hours from 12-3.
