Jennifer Aniston Bags The ‘Icon Award’ At People’s Choice Awards 2019; Calls FRIENDS ‘Gift Of A Lifetime’
The 2019 E’s People’s Choice Awards event took place in California last evening. With many Hollywood biggies winning awards, Jennifer Aniston was honoured with the ‘Icon Award’ for her most-entertained sitcom FRIENDS and called it a gift of her lifetime
The popular Sitcom FRIENDS has been one of the most iconic shows aired on American television and has also gained a huge fan base. The show and its characters are most loved and people and FRIENDS fans cherish the show until now. With Jennifer Aniston being a part of the show, the actress was recently honoured with the ‘Icon Award’ for her role in Friends at the 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards was held yesterday in California. While receiving the award, Aniston spoke highly of the show and its impact on her life and called it a gift of her lifetime.
2019 E! People’s Choice Awards was held yesterday on November 10 at Santa Monica, California. The event was attended by many Hollywood biggies and eminent personalities. At the event, Jennifer Aniston was awarded the ‘Icon Award’ for her popular sitcom FRIENDS. While receiving the awards, the actress gave a phenomenal speech speaking about why the actors act and do their part and also thanked the cast and crew of FRIENDS. As Aniston dedicated her speech to FRIENDS, she shared how the show is a gift of her lifetime, and mentioned that she would not be standing up here without the amazing show, without her amazing five casts and the audience that was glued on to the sitcom. Jennifer also thanked that streaming services now, for having the sitcom on the platforms. She thanked fans for believing in the large New York apartments and the show as well. In her speech, Aniston also spoke about how she is not an ‘Icon’ without the ‘Iconic’ show. The actress added, “If I have any claim to this word 'Icon', it's only because I was able to be on an iconic show with an iconic cast and an iconic haircut,” and mentioned how she would not be standing with the award without the amazing show.
Apart from Aniston, Robert Downey Jr. also received the ‘Male Movie Star’ award for his role in Avenger: Endgame. The event was opened by Robert Downey Jr and the actor was phenomenal as always. The 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards took place on Sunday, November 10, at 6 p.m West Coast and 9 p.m East Coast.
