Johnny Depp Joins Harry Potter Franchise
A dream casting coup has been pulled off in Hollywood. Johnny Depp has joined the Harry Potter franchise. Depp will play a major role in the sequel to the upcoming film, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.

The films are a prequel to Harry Potter's adventures and star Eddie Redmayne.  Rumours are that Johnny is also part of the first film and fans will be treated to a cameo.

However,  details of his appearance are sketchy.

This will be the third franchise that Johnny will be part of after the Alice In Wonderland franchise and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Depp has not had a great year till now. The last film in the Alice franchise, Alice Through The Looking Glass did not do well at the box-office. He was also part of a much publicized divorce after Amber Heard filed for divorce amidst reports of domestic violence.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them releases next year and the sequel is set to release in 2018. J.K Rowling, the creator of the Harry Potter series has said that there will be 5 films in the new franchise. No word on whether Johnny will be part of the upcoming 3 films, but fans can always dream.
