Reports are now coming in that he contracted the HIV virus 2 decades ago and may have died of AIDS. The actual cause of his death is still being kept a secret with the toxicology reports awaited.
People who have seen the singer in his last days have said that he looked very weak and disoriented. He was seen picking up medicines from a pharmacy in what was one of his last social appearances.
Questions are also being raised about his sudden hospital visit just days before he passed away. The official version was that he was suffering from a very strong bout of influenza.
Prince’s financial condition is under the scanner too, with his sister Tyka announcing that the Purple Rain singer never made a will.
