While the last season of Game Of Thrones premiered recently, season 8 was one of the much-anticipated ones but also didn't live up to the expectations. As only actor Kit Harrington got a Golden Globes 2020 nomination, the Twitterati are upset over the show not being in other nominations

The HBO show Game Of Thrones has won hearts for years now and is an ultimate fan-favourite. The final season of Game Of Thrones was out early this year and received a lot of mixed reactions being the much-anticipated show. Recently, the Golden Globes 2020 nominations have been out and fans have been upset as Game Of Thrones received only one Golden Globes nomination. As actor Kit Harington bagged a Golden Globes nomination, Twitterati expresses its feelings as the show has not been given its due and was not nominated in other categories.

The final season of Game Of Thrones won a lot of applause from the fans despite the so many flaws pointed out by the critics. Though the season was supposedly considered to be rushed to soon and many other aspects not covered in properly, the show turned out to be the most-watched in the history of television. While the characters in the last season nailed at the acting part, actors Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, and many others graced the audiences with their stellar performances. As only Kit Harington bagged a Golden Globes 2020 nomination for his role in GOT, the Twitterati took to social media to express their feelings as the show gets snubbed. A fan wrote, “Golden Globes all over the place?!? Did they seriously not nominate @GameOfThrones for best drama???? #GoldenGlobe,” and lashed out on Twitter as the Golden Globes did not nominate Game Of Thrones for Best Drama. As Emilia Clarke’s performance in the last season was spectacular, another fan wrote, “Emilia Clarke deserves every single recognition for her work this finale season of Game Of Thrones. I don’t see why she’s being robbed continuously by every award shows. If she will not win at least give the recognition she deserved.”





Meanwhile, responding to his nomination, in an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Kit Harington mentioned how he is the Lone Throner and imagines him sitting down at a table all by himself. 


The actor further explained how he did not expect to be nominated and thought that the show might be nominated and called his Golden Globes 2020 nomination unexpected and wonderful.
