Ever since Anushka Sharma’s debut production OTT show Paatal Lok has premiered on Amazon Prime from May 15, it has been embroiled in controversy for various reasons- the major one being ‘hurting the Hindu sentiments’. Despite facing the severe backlash, the show is being applauded by critics, celebrities and other half of the Twitterverse. But seems like, the wrath of social media has escalated so much so that netizens have made a hashtag #BoycottPaatalLok trend on Twitter. 

A section of Twitterverse believes that the show should be banned as it has allegedly hurt Hindu sentiments. A user wrote, “Netizens have slammed @AnushkaSharma and the series for showing anti-Hindu culture and glorifying beef-eating in few scenes.
