Aashram 3: Darshan Kumaar Shares Details Of When The Bobby Deol Co-Starrer Will Go On Floors - EXCLUSIVE
Actor Darshan Kumaar, who was recently seen in The Family Man 2, shares the details of the first schedule of Prakash Jha’s Aashram 3
Actor Darshan Kumaar, popularly known for his stint as Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ on-screen husband in Mary Kom, is currently basking in the glory of the success of The Family Man 2. The series has him play the villainous ISI agent Major Sameer, who is hell bent on instigating a war from India with her neighbouring nations and then use it to his advantage to spread his message. In season 1, he couldn’t succeed completely and he returned in season 2 with a vendetta and with a more dangerous plan.
Last year, Darshan also had multiple successes on OTT with Avrodh: The Siege Within and Prakash Jha’s Aashram. The actor seems to be getting a firm foothold on the medium and is enjoying the success that comes with it. In an earlier conversation with Spotboye.com, Darshan had even shared that a man followed his car for 2 kms just to ask him when they will come back with Aashram 3.
As for Aashram, the show released two seasons within the same year in 2020, and the team was supposed to start shooting for the third season in April this year, before the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic hit. And now we have learnt that the team has finalised on a new schedule.
Talking about the new schedule, Darshan informs, “We are starting shoot in the first week of September in Bhopal. We were supposed to leave around 6th April but then the second wave of Covid-19 hit. The call to cancel that schedule was taken on 4th April as the situation was getting worse in Bhopal and everywhere else as well. So, that was a great call taken by Prakash Jha sir.”
Darshan goes on to rave about his director for the decision taken. “We were speaking on a zoom call the other day and I lauded him for taking that step as only he could have done it. Even he said that he had to think about the whole crew, so it was an amazing decision,” he concludes.
