As Broken But Beautiful 3 gets closer to release, actress Saloni Khanna Patel shares her experience of working on the show and collaborating with Sidharth Shukla and Sonia Rathee
Broken But Beautiful 3 is one of the most anticipated series in the coming days. The AltBalaji show has already made a brand for itself with its first two seasons with Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi. This season, the show takes a new turn with a new cast and a new story. It is headlined by Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla and Sonia Rathee, who play love birds Agastya and Rumi in a complicated love story.
Actress Saloni Khanna Patel, who got married to actor Viraf Patell earlier this month, is also a part of the show and feels fortunate to be associated with the franchise. “It has been absolutely fantastic to be associated with a show that has had two successful seasons. This is a completely fresh and new story with a new cast, so of course there is a certain amount of pressure as you have your audience’s expectations to meet. But the story and the team were so brilliant in the show that I have full faith that it is going to meet every expectation that people have with it. It’s going to be another hit of Broken But Beautiful and it is going to be the first of the many upcoming seasons for this team,” she asserts.
Talking about her role, Saloni informs that she plays Rumi’s younger sister Maira. “She is like one of those characters that you love instantly. You see her and start liking her, she is the apple of everyone’s eye. She is a sorted person and knows what she wants. She is lovable and charming and one of those characters that when I look at her, I feel like how can I be more like her. She has her ups and downs but that is what makes her relatable as a character,” she states.
Saloni shares screen space with Sidharth and Sonia in the show and is all praise for the two. “It was so easy to work with them and the entire crew was so friendly. I met Siddharth much later as my scenes with him were scheduled for the later part. By that time, I already had equations with everyone else except him. I had even met Sonia multiple times before that. But when I met him, it didn’t feel like it was us meeting for the first time. We were all sitting together and cracking jokes. He made it so easy and I think that was a very admirable quality. He was so humble and a lot of fun on set. It was nice to see someone so well-known and established just be himself on set,” she concludes.
