Ekta Kapoor Reveals Why She Is Releasing Two Same-Gender Love Stories In A Span Of Two Months; Says Love Is Love, ‘It’s Beyond Conditioning, It’s Beyond Gender’
Producer Ekta Kapoor’s web series titled ‘The Married Woman’ released a month back and it received a good response from the viewers. Over a week ago, Ekta Kapoor’s streaming platform launched a new series based on same-gender love stories. The trailer of the web series ‘His Storyy’ focuses on the life of a married man was released. On Tuesday, Ekta Kapoor made a tweet and opened up about the web series ‘The Married Woman’ and ‘His Storyy’. In her tweet, Kapoor revealed why she is releasing two same-gender love stories in a span of two months.

On Twitter, Ekta Kapoor shared a video and tweeted, “This is for everyone who has been asking me why we are releasing two same gender love stories in a span of two months. To them, I would like to say that we do millions of opposite sex love stories & no one asks that.” She added, “That’s how marginalized and lowly represented stories of the LGBT community are.”

In a thread tweet, the producer continued, “Acceptance for all kinds of love and ALTernate storytelling is what we, at ALTBalaji wish to showcase with our stories!” Ekta Kapoor then mentioned that she hopes that web series ‘His Storry’ also makes a place in the hearts of people and helps people out there who are scared.




Ekta Kapoor continued, “Staying closeted could be claustrophobic, in a world where accepting one’s sexuality and gender choice is a constant struggle, lets normalize these love stories one step at a time.” Kapoor finally thanked everyone for the support and acceptance and quoted dialogue from The Married Woman. She concluded her thread with, “It’s beyond conditioning. It’s beyond gender” #LoveIsLove”. Meanwhile, Ekta Kapoor’s web series ‘His Storyy’ got into trouble. The poster of the web series was called out for plagiarism by Loev’s Sudhanshu Saria. ALT Bajali issued a statement later. They also apologised and deleted the poster from the public domain.
