Who thought life in 2021, despite all the technological advancements, would be so difficult? Come to think of it, the life of a millennial is actually strenuous. There are so many things to do, so many complications to resolution and damn you, there is Coronavirus. But adding a lot of humour to the 'troublesome' life of a millennial is MX Player's Hey Prabhu 2. The central character of the series, Tarun played by Rajat Barmecha is one of those with whom every millennial will relate to. From tackling office politics to relationship issues, Tarun's story speaks of the dilemmas that every youth suffers in today's times.
First and foremost, the 'Ghar Ka Pressure' is something that everyone will instantly connect with. Tarun's parents expect him to do wonders in his life yet term him to be useless. Well, isn't this the story of every household? It's not easy to deal with this pressure but it does crack you up when you see a mother walking in while her son is up to some kinky mischief.
Relationship hits rock bottom and up sailing again! Let's accept it - not everyone has a perfect fairytale. Tarun surely does not have one! With troubles unfolding one after the other, Tarun has difficulty keeping up with his on and off relationship. Premature ejaculation and lust are also a part of the problem. Millennials can easily empathise with Tarun who goes through a heartbreak amidst all the professional chaos and how he has difficulty expressing love.
Office politics - uff, it is a nightmare! Gone are the days when people focused on their job instead of poking their nose in someone's business. Tarun has a rival at office and that's where the tragedy begins. In today's time, we all have a tragic office tale to narrate, don't we?
Social media is a boon and curse in several ways. We all are so addicted to putting our lives on display for all on social media, and that's exactly how Tarun managed to bag a job with his quirky social media content in the first place. But with time, social media has turned into a curse for Tarun. As he struggles to come up with new ideas to accelerate his company's presence on social media, he finds himself in a limbo being drained of all the ideas. We have all been there! Rajat Barmecha reprises his role as Tarun Prabhu this season and is supported by an ensemble cast starring Parul Gulati, Achint Kaur, Jasmeet Singh Bhatia, Sonyaa Ayodhya, Pryanca Talukdar, Rituraj Singh, Grusha Kapoor, Dev Dutt, Ashish Bhatia, Raj Bhansali and Neha Panda.
