Khawbon Ke Parindey: Asha Negi, 'I Have Been Offered Erotica But I Have Chosen Not To Do So' - EXCLUSIVE
Asha Negi in interaction with SpotboyE revealed that she has been approached to be part of erotic films and shows.
Asha Negi was already a household name before making her entry in Bollywood films with Ludo, which was released this year. The actress has made a smooth transition from doing Pavitra Rishta on television to featuring in two seasons of Baarish a web series to now doing films. Asha in interaction with SpotboyE revealed that she has been approached to be part of erotic films and shows. However, she chose to refuse the offer because she wasn't comfortable doing so.
She said, "I mean I will be very frank, offering like doing erotica have come but I have chosen not to do them. I feel web and films are happening but I don’t want to do these things just to be part of something or coz it's allowed in web shows, don't want to do it for the sake of doing it. It’s not a great concept but there are a lot of erotica I would not be interested in at all, even if it’s a film." The Ludo actress further adds, “So basically the thing is that the kind of offers I am getting is changing, it’s happening, but very slowly, that’s like a good part. Having said that I am getting to do different kinds of stuff and it’s coming out, more people will watch it and they will see me in different kinds of character and I’m hoping that eventually, I get to experiment a lot." Asha also revealed that as an actor she doesn't have any reservation except for doing nude scenes, she states, ' I am not comfortable doing nude scenes just for the fact it’s allowed or you know it’s alright if this is happening then let’s do it types. I am okay with doing it but only if the story and character demand. I don’t want to be this actor who has any limitations or any pressures in her career. I want to be free, from all the inhibitions and limitations and I want to be an actor to just do what the character and what the story demands. So yeah but the unnecessary nude scenes and erotic I don’t want to be a part of."
Meanwhile, Asha Negi will next be seen in Khwabon Ke Parindey, releasing soon on Voot on 14th June. Directed by Tapasvi Mehta, the show follows the lives of three friends in Australia.
