Medically Yourrs Is The Chill Pill You Need To Beat The Summer Heat
Depicting a completely different aspect of student life and far from the make-believe world of the exuberant high-school drama PuncchBeat, ALTBalaji brings home a feeling of realism in a student’s life like never before with Medically Yourrs. Showcasing the struggles of medical students, dealing with various challenges and pressures, the drama unfolds beyond a life of wild parties, fights and love triangles, in an extremely amusing way. And if timing was key, with a majority of students basking in their summer vacations, the show makes for a perfect dose of entertainment before the start of the next academic year. The web-series tries to highlight the plight of medical students in the quirkiest way possible.

The medical college drama, Medically Yourrs revolves around Abir Basu, played by Shantanu Maheshwari. Born in the family of doctors, he lives under the immense pressure of proving himself worthy in the eyes of his doctor father portrayed by Bijay Anand. One can resonate with Abir as he finds his true calling not in medicine, but in music.  Also adding to the pressure is his childhood friend Nibedita (Nityami Shirke), who is a stereotypical bookworm. Not only is she his biggest competition, Nibedita also happens to be his father’s favourite student. We see a terrific trio with Vishesh, who will stop at nothing to become a doctor; Lolly, the voice of the show and Pallav, the state topper, setting new friendship goals.

The series is a fun watch and though it deals with an important topic, the narrative and treatment is light. The best thing about the series is how beautifully the makers have included the Bengali culture in the narrative. The characters are often seen speaking in Bengali and Abir making Bengali music is the highlight of the series. Also, this much raved web-series, enjoys a huge loyal fan following amongst students. This 10 episodic medical drama will surely take you back to your college days.

Verdict: Medically Yourrs will take you back to your college days
