The Hotstar Specials new web show ‘The Office’ is a total rip-off of the original old UK classic which was broadcasted in the year 2001. It was written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. They have also adapted some scenes from the American classic as well. Now this Hindi version of ‘The Office’ has grabbed a lot of attention and the 13 episodes web show is directed by Rohan Sippy and Debbie Rao.
The star cast includes Mukul Chadda, Gauahar Khan, Ranvir Shorey, Gopal Datt, Sayandeep Sengupta, Samridhi Dewan, Priyanka Setia, Abhinav Sharma, Gavin Methalaka, Preeti Kochar, Sunil Jetly, Chien Ho Liao, Nehpal Gautam and Mayur Bansiwal amongst others.
The web show portrays the 9-to-5 lives of the employees at Wilkins Chawla which is set in Faridabad. The funny branch manager Jagdeep Chadda is unavoidable and the childlike TP Mishra will keep you hooked. The web show has also shown a love triangle featuring Amit Sharma, Pammi Goyal and Parmeet Chowdhry. However, these are the relatable characters which can be found in every office.
With various funny scenes and dialogues the makers have tried to make it funny but those who have already watched the old classics they would like to slap themselves while standing in front of the mirror.
