Halloween 2019: Bipasha Basu, Kriti Sanon, Taapsee Pannu Talk About Spooky On-Set Experiences
As Halloween is all about spirits and ghosts, here are some of Bollywood celebs such as Bipasha Basu, Taapsee Pannu and others,who have experienced some spooky incidents on-set that will definitely send chills down your spine
Halloween is almost here and is celebrated on October 31. It is a tradition where people light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. This tradition is still celebrated mostly amongst the Christians who not necessarily dresses up in ghostly attire but dresses up as per their wish. Though Halloween is not celebrated in India (however, it has become a trend nowadays) and as Halloween is all about spirits and ghosts, here are some of Bollywood celebs who have experienced Halloween vibes in real life. That’s right!
On that note, we have compiled a few incidents of some Bollywood celebs who have experienced some spooky incident that will definitely send chills down your spine. Bipasha Basu:
Bipasha is known to be the horror queen but she in real life she is a fattu, as she calls herself that. She revealed that while she was shooting for Footpath (2003) at Mukesh Mills, in Mumbai which was known to be spooky and there are many stories around it that the people in the film business keep talking about, she was supposed to shoot on the second floor of the premises where she had to say a long monologue, she felt like something was stopping her. Though she knew her entire monologue by heart, yet, she kept forgetting the lines and this happened repeatedly. Eventually, they decided to get her out of the set, and they gave her some holy water. The team even performed a pooja but even the pandit who did the pooja had an accident. So, after that, the team had to shot it at a different location. Also, there was another incident in Goa, where she was sharing a room with her hairstylist, at a hotel which was supposed to be spooky. There the AC and fan were switched on suddenly, leaving both of them scared and wondering how the fan started, when they both didn’t do it ourselves.
Kriti Sanon:
Though the Luka Chuppi has never worked in a horror genre, she still experienced something spooky during Dilwale (2015). She revealed that while shooting for the film, her make-up artist felt an unearthly presence in her hotel room. There was a bottle of body lotion that fell, so she put it back in its place, but it fell again. She was surprised as the table wasn’t moving, nor was there any wind. Later in the night, she felt that someone was pushing her and that’s when they all were spooked out.
Sunny Leone:
The actress was starrer in Ragini MMS where she was seen possessed by a spirit in the film, well, something similar happened in real life. During the shoot for one of the seasons of Splitsvilla at a palace in Rajasthan, Sunny had sleep paralysis. She literally had to push herself to wake up, but she felt some presence holding her down. When it repeated for the third time, she just got up and yelled, ‘Leave me alone!’ According to Sunny, she thought the ghost was a kind ghost as it did leave her alone.
Taapsee Pannu:
The Game Over actress Taapsee is extremely scared of ghosts and she does believe that they exist. The first time she felt the spooky vibes is when she was in her room at a hotel in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. She had earlier heard stories of the hotel being haunted. One day when she was alone in the room, she heard some footsteps echoing. However, she convinced herself that she was imagining things and literally forced herself to sleep.
Varun Sharma:
Varun encountered ghostly thing when he was travelling to Manali as a kid. He said that there was intense fog on the road and he saw a human-like figure amidst the fog which disappeared in a jiffy, leaving him all spooked out. Was it just a work of my imagination or was there someone really there? This is something that still remains unanswered for Varun. He also mentioned how this incident still creeps him out as it is etched in his memory.
Adah Sharma:
The lady scared the shit of us in 1920 but something scared her too on the sets of the same film. During 1920 (2008) shoot in the place, named, Allerton Castle, in Yorkshire, was said to be haunted. In fact, it’s supposed to be one of the top 10 haunted castles in the world. She said that when they reached there, the caretakers told them some stories about how the wife of the housekeeper, who had died, haunts the castle. However, the spooky thing is that there was a huge portrait of her that’s hung on the wall, and the woman resembled Adah Sharma which really spooked her out.
Sometime later, when she went to the restroom and while she was trying to come out, she realised that she was locked in and even the lights just went off. With no one was around, and wondering how she got locked in, she was stuck down there for a good 15 minutes, without being able to reach out to anyone for help.
