WAR OVER: Sonu Nigam and RJ Siddharth Kannan kiss and make up

A few months ago, the Sooraj Hua Madham singer Sonu Nigam and the popular RJ Siddharth Kannan had a massive showdown on Twitter, courtesy Sonu's friction with Himesh Reshammiya.

WAR OVER: Sonu Nigam and RJ Siddharth Kannan kiss and make up

A few months ago, the Sooraj Hua Madham singer Sonu Nigam and the popular RJ Siddharth Kannan had a massive showdown on Twitter, courtesy Sonu's friction with Himesh Reshammiya. 


The Sonu-Himesh tiff started in 2006, when both the singers had embarked on separate month-long US-Canada tours. During a media interview back then, Himesh said, “Who is Sonu Nigam? He is only performing at small centres. Look at me — I'm a rock star. I've already created mass hysteria here.” The remark obviously didn’t go down with Sonu, who retaliated in equally strong words. In March this year, Kannan interviewed Himesh and asked the singer-composer to respond to Sonu’s comments against him. Himesh, however, maintained that Sonu is the “best conventional singer” in the country and that he is open to all viewpoints. Kannan posted the interview and this annoyed the singer and he even went on to block Kannan on Twitter, saying: “Before blocking u @sidkannan, wanted to show u d Gangotri of Ganga. Next time think before u shit orally.”(Sonu Nigam is in no mood to forgive Himesh Reshammiya, Mar 23).

Cut to present. A couple of days ago, Kannan along with his wife and daughter visited the singer’s house and posted a picture of the same on Twitter. He even tagged Sonu and his wife Madhurima.

Sonu replied to the tweet with equal grace. Even Madhurima replied to the tweet praising the Kannan's daughter.






Clearly, Sonu and Siddharth have let bygones be bygones.
