Suriya's critically appreciated OTT hit “Soorarai Pottru” selected in the Panorama Section of Shanghai International Film Festival 2021. “Soorarai Pottru” is one of the highest-rated Tamil films on IMDB and presently ranked high with the international films at movie ranking platform. Digital portal Movie Reviews Blog has informed via tweet about the “Soorarai Pottru’s entry in Shanghai International Film Festival 202. The story of 'Soorarai Pottru' is based on Air Deccan Founder GR Gopinath's “Simply Fly”. The movie is directed by Sudha Kongara and Suriya plays the role of an ambitious entrepreneur named Nedumaramn Rajangam. The notable actress Aparna Balamurali appeared opposite Suriya in the film. Music is composed by GV Prakash.
