Sreesanth may not
have won Bigg Boss 12 but he has sure won many hearts. They leave no stone
unturned to make him feel like a star and the cricketer often trends on social
media. This morning we woke up to #JusticeForSreesanth taking social media by
storm. It all started when Sreesanth’s wife, Bhuvneshwari, wrote on Twitter, “Big
day tomorrow for @sreesanth36 . I hope and pray everything
falls in place. Keeping my fingers crossed #JusticeForSreesanth.”
The cricketer was slapped with a life ban after his after his alleged involvement in spot-fixing during the 2013 IPL Season. He was later acquitted by a trial court in 2015, post which the Delhi police challenged the verdict in the Delhi High Court. The matter will be heard in court today.
As soon as Bhuvneshwari requested for good wishes, Sreesanth’s fans began tweeting in his favour and #JusticeForSreesanth began trending. They request that the cricketer should be given another chance.
You may recall,
during his stay in the Bigg Boss 12 house, Sreesanth was seeing discussing
the controversy with his fellow inmates. Defending
himself, he had said, “They said I have done match fixing of 10 lakhs and said
they have proof. But maine kiya nahi yaar.” In the same show, the
cricketer and Karanvir Bohra had got into an argument during the ‘Ticket To Finale’ task wherein the latter had said, “ “Poori
duniya ko pata hai kitna bada dhokebaaz hai tu”, and all hell broke loose.
