Ajaz Khan Opens Up On Being Arrested In Drugs Case; Says 'Sleeping Pills Were Used By My Wife As She Suffered A Miscarriage And Was In Depression'

Actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan is one of the most-talked-about celebrities right now. For the uninitiated, Aijaz was recently arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), a day after he was detained for questioning over drugs found at his home. Yesterday, he was taken into custody from the Mumbai airport upon his arrival from Rajasthan. Previously, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede revealed that Ajaz is part of narcotics peddler Shadab Farooque Shaikh alias Shadab Batata's syndicate. "We have found involvement in the Shadab Batata case and he is definitely facing some serious charges. His statement is being recorded at present," said Sameer Wankhede.
Speaking to reporters outside the office, Ajaz opened up about his arrest and the drugs found at his residence. The former Bigg Boss contestant said that he was not detained but went to meet the officials voluntarily. Talking about the drugs, Ajaz said "Nothing. Ask them where they got it... what they got was four sleeping pills. My wife had miscarrige and was in depression. She was taking those pills."
The actor has starred in movies such as Rakta Charitra and Allah Ke Banday. He has also acted in several TV shows including Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki and Rahe Tera Aashirwaad. Apart from that, he also participated in Bigg Boss 7.
Apart from Ajaz Khan, many Bollywood celebs including Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, Shraddha Kapoor, Rhea Chakraborty and Sara Ali Khan have been questioned by the NCB in relation to the drugs case.
