Actress Rupali Ganguly, who is essaying the title role of Anupamaa in her show and her on-screen elder son, Aashish Mehrotra Aka Paritosh have also tested positive. Aashish tested positive a few days ago, after which the entire team was asked to go through the COVID-19 test. Rupali's reports came in this morning, stating she has contracted the virus, however the actress is asymptomatic. A reliable source close to the show informs us, "Rupali Ganguly and Aashish Mehrotra have tested positive for COVID-19. Other cast and crew members have also gone under the swab test and are waiting for the results. The team is not shooting today and may not shoot for a few more days for precautionary reasons."
A few weeks back, Paras Kalnawat who plays Samar, the younger son to Rupali in the show, also tested positive and is stayinh under self- isolation.
In recent time television actors like Amar Upadhyay and Priyal Mahajan from Molkki, Monalisa from Namak Issk Ka and Mandar Chandwadkar from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have tested positive for COVID-19.
