Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa is one of the most adored serials on Indian television. Avid fans often take to their social media profiles to discuss the ongoing plot of the show, comment on the development of characters and the future episodes. The show is currently showcasing the Kapadia family and Shah family bidding Anu adieu as she gears up for her trip to the US. Netizens noticed that her first pillar of strength Bapuji, played by Arvid Vaidya, has been missing from the track which led to them being concerned.

Now in an interview with the Times Of India, Arvind opened up about his absence from the show and revealed that he is currently on a family vacation in the US. He told the media publication that he had planned this in January itself, as his son lives in Atlanta with his family. Quoted by Hindustan Times, he added, “My wife and I left for the US on June 4 and at that time, this track had not been planned. The 82-year-old further shared that he misses being on the set and can’t wait to get back to shooting especially “since there is a crucial track going on.” He went on to add that he really couldn’t do anything about his absence as they had planned the trip months in advance. Apart from Rupali Ganguly, the show also stars Gaurav Khanna, Sudhanshu Pandey, Chhavi Pandey and Madalsa Sharma Chakraborty among many others in pivotal roles. Talking about the ongoing track, fans have been eagerly waiting to know how the makers plan on taking Anu and Anuj’s love story ahead as the makers have planned for a three-year leap. Will Anupamaa go and settle in the US alone or will Anuj follow her and become her pillar of support again are some of the burning questions the audience is eagerly waiting for.
