Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli's 9-Month-Old Daughter Vamika Receives Rape Threats; Abhinav Shukla Says ‘New Low We’ve Achieved’
TV actor Abhinav Shukla took to Twitter to condemn the rape threats against Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's daughter Vamika
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were recently in the news after online threats surfaced against their nine-month-old daughter Vamika. Hateful comments and rape threats against Virat’s daughter started appearing on social media after India's loss to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in Dubai. Besides this, Kohli was also slammed for speaking against the incessant trolling of his teammate, Mohammed Shami, who was targeted over his religion after the loss. Many celebrities have come out in Virat’s support and have condemned the threats given to his daughter.
And, the latest actor to extend his support is popular TV actor Abhinav Shukla. He took to Twitter to condemn it and said “we have achieved a new low.” Abhinav wrote, “Threats against a 10 month old kid by some people is the new low we have achieved!” Not just celebrities, many social media users have also slammed it.

Last week, Virat Kohli had issued a statement against religious discrimination. Addressing the media, he said, “Attacking someone over their religion is the most pathetic thing one can do as a human. That is a very sacred and personal thing. People take out their frustration because they have no understanding of what we do.”
Meanwhile, The Delhi Commission for Women has issued a notice to Delhi Police over online rape threats to Virat Kohli’s daughter, and also a detailed "action taken report" in the matter.
