Shilpa Shinde became a household name after playing the role of Angoori bhabhi in a popular TV show, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain. The actress still remains the audience’s favourite for the same, despite quitting the show 5 years ago. After she quit the show by alleging harassment by the makers of the TV show, she entered Bigg Boss and won the 11th season. But did you know Shilpa signed the role of Angoori on one condition? Well the term led by the actress was not a huge sum of money, but a signature dialogue for her on-screen character.
The dialogue 'Sahi Pakde Hai' still remains popular among the audience, hence when she was approached for it, she asked the makers for it. Following this, the makers re-worked the dialogue part and delivered this memorable dialogue. After she quit the show, she told PTI, “You cannot make anyone sign an exclusivity contract like that. Why are you trying to spoil our career? I am giving you my 25 days or so, what is the problem if I do other shows in between. I never signed that contract.”
She added, “In fact, I came on board after Rashmi Desai left the part abruptly. I helped them when they needed. Today, they are spreading rumours that I threw tantrums on the set. That is sheer mental torture.”
The actress also opened up on the makers’ claims where they mentioned the actress being unprofessional on the sets. “If they are claiming that I was unprofessional before too, they should have sacked me. Why say that when I have spoken up? I heard they have issued me a notice and want me to join the show within 48 hours. This is like a threat. I will see how to take this matter ahead,” said Shilpa.
