Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: Nehha Pendse On Being Trolled For Her Comic Timing, Says, ‘I Am Not A Bharti Singh Or Kapil Sharma Who Can Crack Jokes’
Popular TV actress Nehha Pendse recently stepped into the shoes of actress Saumya Tandon who played Anita Bhabhi on most loved sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. While the actress has managed to garner love and appreciation for her performance, Nehha has been trolled and criticized for her comic timing. Trolls feel the actress’ comic timing is not upto the mark, now the actress has reacted to it in conversation with Indian Express. She shared being all okay with it and understands the emotional connection the audience had with Saumya Tandon.

She was quoted saying “It’s already coming my way even when people haven’t seen my work as Anita. However, I understand that the criticism comes from an emotional space. People have been emotionally connected to Saumya, and it’s like letting a new person come in your inner group. Just like any other new relationship, this too would take some time.” Being pessimistic about the audience will accept her, she wants to give space to her audience to find a connection with her.

“And I want to give that space to my audience to find that connectivity, and I know then, they will accept me wholeheartedly,” adds Nehha.

Nehha Pendse giving her take on comedy, shared every actor needs to work hard on their onscreen character and comedy is not natural. She said, “I think every actor has to do hard work on every character. As for comedy, I don’t think it’s natural. However, this is a sitcom, where the situation is funny, I don’t need to do comedy.” ALSO READ: Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: Nehha Pendse REACTS To Shilpa Shinde’s Comment On Her Playing Anita Bhabhi In The Show

Comparing herself with stand up comedians, she said, “Honestly, I am not a Bharti Singh or Kapil Sharma who can crack jokes and make people laugh. A situational comedy set up works much better for me.”

Though Nehha did not get a chance to meet Saumya Tandon, she shared about receiving a message from her.  “I could not chat with her, however, it was really sweet of her to personally message me. She told me that I was the right choice, and that she is really happy I took up the show. Saumya added that she feels the character is in capable hands. It was really kind of her to do that and it really made everything special,” added Nehha.
